Hi, my name is Matt and I am the creator of BuzzMug.com. I am so glad you're here and I look forward to sharing a cup of coffee with you.
BuzzMug's Roots
I was the original creator of BuzzMug.com back in 2007. I created BuzzMug, LLC (an AZ corporation), back in 2007 and that is still going today.
The original BuzzMug.com website was an ecommerce site for travel mugs, coffee & tea, coffee grinders and other coffee gear. Those were fun days - made before WordPress and Shopify were really even a thing. I started this site on the side while I was working as a full-time Firefighter/Captain.
What started as a side hustle quickly became a second full-time job. Not just for me, but the whole family! The site got so popular so fast that my family was packing orders every night at the kitchen table. My garage was filled with shelves, all containing boxes of mugs, grinders, shirts, and all kinds of things.
With a brand new baby in the house, we decided to sell BuzzMug.com and all inventory to focus on family and being together (rather than on selling mugs).
I'm glad we did spend that time, because my wife, Trish, passed suddenly in 2024. Because of that time my family and I spent on this project, the BuzzMug brand always held a special place in my heart. Call it sentimental.
Because of how much this site, and this brand, mean to me I decided to pick it back up in 2026. To create something new.
BuzzMug's Future
Today's BuzzMug.com does not sell anything. There is no eCommerce. The whole goal of mine for BuzzMug is simply to brew coffee beans, stir some cocktails, and hang out with you guys.
